This book is just so full of facts regarding bumblebees. There are historical information like cave paintings to the Ancient Egyptians having hieroglyph of a bee in their alphabet as well as saying the tears of the sun god RA turned into bees. It covers the families of bees to bee mimics who use the potential of stings to fool potential predators. The one thing it is not is an identification book with just a list of species found in the UK but it is certainly a good read and you will learn a lot about bumblebees and what to plant in the garden as well as how to create nesting and hibernation sites for them. A great edition to the series.
