Published by Guardian Faber Hardback 344 pages Price £15.99

This is a book which is hard to put down. Miriam picks several European species of owl to study and in most cases meet experts in the field and even go and see the species along with them. The chapters are full of information along with poetry. The chapters often explore her family life in Devon and she encourages the family to join her on her journeys to see the British owls. Miriam’s foreign trips are all adding to her knowledge of the birds and you will certainly learn about these species by reading the book.
